Pivot — Rotate The World Platformer

Pivot is a free endless platformer with an inverted control scheme: you never touch the character at all. Your climber walks forward and falls on his own, and gravity always pulls toward the bottom of the screen — what you control is the level. Tap either side and the whole world spins ninety degrees, so the wall he was about to hit becomes the floor he lands on. Descending the shaft means reading the geometry and choosing the right moment to turn everything sideways.

How to play

  1. Tap the left half of the screen to spin the world counter-clockwise, the right half to spin it clockwise.
  2. Your climber walks and falls automatically — you are only ever choosing which way is down.
  3. Physics pause during the spin, so you always know where he will land before he lands there.
  4. Spikes and pits end the run, and metres descended is your score. On desktop, use ← and → to rotate.
