Lights Out — Lights Out Puzzle Game

Lights Out is a free 5×5 logic puzzle: tap a cell to flip it and its four orthogonal neighbors, and clear every light to win. Every game deals a fresh, randomly generated board — solve it in the fewest taps and beat par, then play again for a brand-new one.

How to play

1. Tap a cell to flip it and its up, down, left and right neighbors (no diagonals, no wrap-around).
2. Your goal is to turn every light OFF — the whole board dark.
3. Fewer taps is better; clear the board at or under par for the best score.
4. Stuck? Tap HINT to light up the next best cell to press — but it’s an emergency aid: 3 per game, each adds a few taps to your score, and any hint means the solve no longer counts as optimal. RESET restores the current board.
5. Every game is a fresh, randomly generated board — no two runs are the same, so just hit play again for a new one.
6. On desktop, move the cursor with arrow keys / WASD, press a cell with Space, HINT with H, and RESET with R.
